Yoko Kikuchi was born in Japan.  In 1996 she moved to Italy and she studied piano with Feanco Scala and fortepiano with Stefano Yoko KikuchiFiuzzi at the "Incontri col Maestro"International Piano Academy in Imola.

In 2002 she won first prize at International Mozart Competition in Salzburg, since then she has performed with major orchestra in Asia and in Europe.

She has performed with many conductors including Laurence Foster ,Gerd Albrecht, Dennis Russell Davis, Ivor Bolton,Alexsander Dmitriev, Leif Segerstam,

 HK Gruber ,Hubert Soudant, Günter Pichiler, Pedro Halffter,Dan Ettinger,Omer Meir Wellber, Lior Shambadal among others.

She has performed with Mozarteum Orchester Salzburg,Gulbenkian Orchestra, NHK Symphony Orchestra, NDR Radio Philharmonie Orchester Hannover , Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra , Chamber Orchestra of Auvergne,all Japanese orchestras, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra,Schenzen Symphony Orchestra,Hong Kong Sinfonietta and others.

In addition, she also participated in several music festivals such as Mozart-Matinee of  Salzburg Festival, Schleswig- Holstein Musik Festival,  Maggio musicale Fiorentino of Florence, Emilia Romagna Festival, and others in Italy.

Yoko Kikuchi's love of chamber music has led her to collaborate with many other musicians including Radek Baborak, Afflatus Quintet, Ensemble Wien Berlin, Andreas Ottensamer ,Ana Chumachenco ,Philarmonic String Quintet Berlin ,Leipzig Quartet and others .

Ms. Kikuchi is passionate also about other forms of art and she recently collaborated with classical ballet dancers including Diana Vishneva,Mrcelo Gomes, Miyako Yoshida and others.

Her debut CD Mozart Album was awarded the 18th Music Pen Club Prize's "Best Recording by a Japanese Artist". From then she has released 8CDs. From 2009 Yoko Kikuchi lives in Berlin.
