Born in 1959 in Warsaw, in the years 1974-1979 he
studied at the State High School of Fine Arts Antoni Kenar in Zakopane In the
years 1979-1984 he studied at the Faculty of Academy of Fine Arts Sculpture in
Warsaw, at the laboratory of prof. Stanisław Kulon, where in 1984 he received
an award for the thesis "The Entombment". In 1982, during the studies
together with Andrzej Szarek and Czeslaw Podleśny he founded the artistic group
".... who are you". Since 1986 he has been involved in teaching.
Currently, he is a head of Sculpture Cathedral at the Art Institute in Cieszyn
in the Department of Art at the University of Silesia in Katowice. Since 1996
he has run a sculpture workshop on the faculty of Painting and Graphic on the
Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. In 2000 he received the title of Professor of
Fine Arts. His sculptures populate the collections of, among others National
Museum in Krakow, the Regional Museum in Bielsko-Biala, the Museum of
Contemporary Sacred Art in Kielce, Contemporary Art Collection of Lucerne
