Snijder Hanna was born in Poland. After studying at the English Department, she moved to the Netherlands and began to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Groningen and Enschede at the Faculty of Graphic Design. After many years of working as a graphic designer and lecturer, among others, at the Technical University in Enschede, she resided in Switzerland. There she got interested in professional photography, which has become her life's passion.
The commercial photography for online stores as well as studio photography for private customers was her first experiences in the field of the professional photography. Fine art photography, especially flowers, took up by chance: during the study of lighting, models ran out, so she replaced it with a bouquet of flowers in a vase.
In her vision to present the flowers, the photographer focuses primarily on form and color, using a mixed, often experimental techniques of photography. The flower itself becomes, therefore, the secondary category. As a result the photographs get a painting-like or graphic character.
Snijder Hanna lives and works in Utrecht, the Netherlands and complements her knowledge in the field of photography at the Fotoacademie in Amsterdam.
