Wiener Klassik Ensemble
The Wiener Klassik Ensemble was founded in 1998 by some of the most important soloists of the Vienna Orchestra. The group‘s extraordinary versatility and flexibility allows them to seamlessly traverse different compositions and Viennese classical music, from string quartets to chamber music to orchestral pieces. Depending on the program or musical cycle, the group’s musical flexibility allows it to easily adapt to all branches of Viennese music. The combined experience of the group as soloists, chamber musicians and orchestral musicians makes this ensemble unique, giving them a musical advantage of no other. The members of the group all share one common theme, Vienna; all have studied and lived here for years and play in the city’s best orchestras. Their goal is to preserve the Viennese musical tradition, that has made the city of Vienna and its music so well-known and distinctive.
